When a creature or player dies, they leave behind a corpse.

A few monsters do not leave a corpse (certain elementals)
Corpses decay after a certain time, leaving the items it contained on the ground
- The items will decay also after a set amount of time
You double-click a corpse to loot the remains
- You need to have done damage to the creature/player to have looting rights
- If it's your own corpse, you can use the .grab command to quickly collect your stuff
Corpses can be cut with a dagger to get more items from the body
- Cutting Monsters/Humans allows you to take their heads as trophies
- Cutting Animals provides you with meat and other byproducts
