Mayor is a player that manages a city/town. The mayor can hire and fire vendors and guildmasters in the city he govens.
This is a newly implemented system, and is subjected to change. View the Mayor System for changelog.
Choosing a Mayor
Head priest of the religion that owns a city decides the mayor of the city, if the city cannot be captured by a religion the mayor is set by voting. (This may change in future)
Taxes
Mayor has ability to set tax % between 0-10%, basic tax is 1%.
All houses that belong to the town pay taxes to it through the monthly taxes, supporting the town.
Vendor costs
The amount the vendors take from tax income is decided by vendor level and the amount of vendors.
- Example of the monthly cost of different vendor levels:
- Florist (level 1):
- 1 florist = 1000 gold/month. = 1000 total
- 2 florists = 1000 + 2000 gold/month = 3000 total
- 3 florists = 1000 + 2000 + 3000 gold/month = 6000 total
- etc.
- Alchemist (level 3):
- 1 alchemist = 3000 gold/month = 3000 total
- 2 alchemists = 3000 + 6000 gold/month = 9000 total
- 3 alchemists = 3000 + 6000 + 9000 gold/month = 18000 total
- etc.
Hiring Vendors
- Each vendor costs 100 000 coins to hire and after that they will take a monthly share of the towns tax income.
- Hiring a guildmaster costs 200 000 coins and it supposedly takes 1000 coins per month from tax income.
- Hiring guards is not possible currently.
Firing Vendors
Firing a vendor or guildmaster can be done with speech command "You're fired".
