Belxan's UO Auto-Map - "It's just like UO's radar map (only better)!"

UO Auto-Map (UOAM for short) is a supplement to UO's radar map. You could call it a kind of GPS for UO.

It's a utility that displays a portion of Ultima Online's map. The map can be scaled, tilted to match UO's orientation, labeled and configured in a number of different ways. You can even link up with your friends and have UOAM keep track of their locations as well.

Displaying the map

In order for the map to display properly, you will need to direct the UOAM file location to your client's folder

Map > UO client data files location... > insert location of your client folder

Tracking your character (Calibrating the map)

In order for UOAM to track your current location, you will need to calibrate the map.

  1. Find out your current location within the client (Pangaea)
Write the .where command in the UO client, it will print the numbers into your journal
  2. Disable player tracking in UOAM
left-click the map and unckeck Track Player
  3. Go to current location within UOAM
Places > Go to location... > enter the numbers you got from the .where command on Pangaea
  4. Get UOAM to display current position
Map > check Show cursor Coordinates
now you can see the coordinates displayed in the upper left corner of the map.
  5. Calibrate the UOAM map with current location
UO > calibrate > enter the current cursor coordinates

Tracking your friends (Link to server)

In order to be able to track your friends within the game, you will need to be linked to the same UOAM server.

  1. Open the Link Controles on the control panel in UOAM (there are two ways)
Map > Additional Settings... > open the Link tab
or you can left-click the map > Link > Link Controls
  2. Enter the details for Name, IP, Port and Password
"Name" is your character name, it will display on the map and in the chat
"IP" is the link for UOAM server, erase the "http://" part of URL
  3. click Link to Server
  4. Now you should be able to see the location of other linked players

Open UOAM chat

UOAM includes a chat for you to communicate with fellow players. Only works if you are linked.

left-click the map > Link > Chat...
