Tinkering might be the most essential crafting skill there is, it creates nearly all the tools that merchants use in their profession and crafting. And the only thing they need are their Tinkering Tools.

The image on the left shows most of the items the tinker can make, though there are a few not on the picture, for example: Tinkering with Porcelain/Obsidian/Gold/Silver
- Not pictured: - Skull, Preserved Head, a Clock*, a Sextant+++

- The Clock does not take the color of the clock frame.
- The Sextant currently has no function in-game.

Tinkering with Gold/Silver
Tinkering Gold or Silver Ingots lets you create Jewelry, Wands or Chests. To craft any of the jewelry or wands you will need an additional gem aswell, so these are craftable only one at a time.

For example you could create a Silver Emerald ring for the cost of 2 silver ingots and one emerald.
- Jewelry can buff stats, increasing amount with better quality jewelry and different stats depending on the gem used.
Embedding Jewelry
Similar to the fortifying of a tailor, the tinker can combine together necklace with a gorget, since both are worn on the same equipment slot. This combines armor with stat-boost.

Tinkering with Wax
You can create Candles and Beehives with tinkering. Wax is collected from Beehives, but beekeeping is a dangerous business. Once collected you can fill a kettle with 5 wax, using a Dipping Stick on the kettle will give you three types of candles. Using one of those candles with a Skull will give you a Skull candle.
The last wax craftable is with tinkering 20 wax. This creates a new Beehive. They refill on server restarts.
